Within the English school system the lbpsb offers a choice of 4 programs. English program,some schools offer a purely English program with French as a second language given 1 hr a day;however these are phasing out due to lack of deman. Bilingulal Program-with 50% French and 50% English. ImmersionProgram which is 85% French and 15% English The first 3 programs are offered in both Elementay and High schools

The public education system in Quebec is divided along linguistic lines with 2 school boards. LA COMMISSION SCOLAIRE MARGUERITE BOUREOY for the French The French sclool sstem only offers English as a second lnguage beginning in Grade 4. There is no English Immersion program in the French public school system.
